Did Bravo Fine Kelly Dodd Over Her Comments About Vicki Gunvalson? – The Real Housewives
Kelly Dodd is in hot water once again but this time it’s with Bravo!
The Real Housewives of Orange County star recently appeared on Jeff Lewis’ Sirius XM radio show, Jeff Lewis Live, and made some comments that got both her and Jeff in trouble with Bravo!
In fact, it turns out that Bravo fined Kelly over comments she made about c0-star Vicki Gunvalson.
Reality Blurb reports that during Kelly’s interview with Jeff she confirmed two new Housewives, hinted about what fans could expect for season 13, and last but not least called Vicki a “backstabbing bitch.”
So how and why did Kelly get in trouble with Bravo?
Well, Jeff spilled the tea on the May 11th episode of his show with guest star Lea Black.
Turns out Bravo wasn’t thrilled that Kelly blabbed about the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Orange County or that she badmouthed the OG of the OC Vicki.
“We want to extend a very sincere apology to Bravo and to Kelly Dodd because apparently last week Kelly Dodd was on our show and upset a few people at Bravo. She was reprimanded and apparently fined,” Jeff explained.
“Apparently, the big thing that I think got their attention was Kelly had referred to Vicki last week on our show as a backstabbing b*tch which honestly is kind of accurate. But nevertheless, from what I understand, there was a fine imposed,” Jeff revealed. “I don’t know the specifics. But apparently, if you call out your fellow [castmate] in a public arena and you say things negatively, you are reprimanded by Bravo and subsequently fined it sounds like.”
Adding, “As you know, Tamra Judge was fined. From what I understand, she went after Vicki on social media.” Last year Tamra bashed Vicki, in interviews and on social media, for spreading rumors about her husband, Eddie Judge’s sexuality.
However, Jeff’s initial revelation isn’t even the juiciest part of the story!
Jeff then confessed that he suspects Vicki contacted Bravo and complained about Kelly’s interview.
“I think Vicki turned Tamra in. And I think Vicki turned Kelly in this week. That is my guess,” Jeff confessed.
Why may you ask?
Last August, Jeff infamously said that Bravo should fire Vicki if she doesn’t reconcile with Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador.
“I’ve told Andy [Cohen] this. I told Amy Phillips this. I told anyone who would listen to me. The fact is you’ve got two islands, and you have Vicki [Gunvalson] on one island and Tamra [Judge] and Shannon [Beador] on another island. And it’s not working. They have to let somebody go. I love Vicki. I’ve been friends with Vicki for a long time,” Jeff declared to Heather McDonald on her Juicy Scoop podcast. “I think she’s a great part of the program, but she’s not working with the girls, and just when you think there’s going to be a reconciliation, she hurls these horrible, vicious, nasty, untrue accusations. Is that really going to warm up these girls to where they’re going to reconcile and hang out with you? I think Vicki has done this to herself and maybe it’s time.”
It turns out that after this interview Vicki sicked her lawyers on Jeff.
“Well let me tell you how I know she did. Because remember when I made the mistake on this radio show when I said she should be fired and I apologized to her via text, she had her attorney call me and they demanded a public apology,” Jeff revealed.
Now because of Kelly’s controversial appearance on his show, Jeff is no longer allowed to have Housewives on unless their season is currently airing.
Meanwhile, Kelly took to Twitter and spilled her version of events; calling out Vicki for previously spilling season 13 storylines.
“I didn’t give away any storylines!! Vicki had her boyfriend go to
@PageSix they gave away the storylines not me and I get punished!” Kelly wrote.
Kelly went on to thank Jeff for sticking up for her and made it clear she’s “just trying to speak the truth.”
To wrap, Jeff revealed that he will probably be getting another call from Bravo for his latest revelations.
