Producers from the Real Housewives of New York City don’t seem to be backing down when it comes down to their new structured contracts, as we previously reported Ramona Singer, the Countess LuAnn, and Sonja Morgan were offered daily shoot rates… instead of their usually annual salary. Ramona Singer, Countess LuAnn, and Sonja Morgan decided to strike it out and hold off on signing any new contracts with producers until they were offered a decent a lump sum salary.
Earlier today however, it was revealed that Ramona Singer, who was battling with the network in hopes of securing a large season contract for RHONY, finally caved in and signed a contract with the network that would include her only getting paid on a daily shoot rate. An inside source at RadarOnline revealed that Ramona Singer had signed a daily rate contract and had already started filming on October 29th.
Ramona Singer may not be getting guaranteed the big bucks this year, but our inside sources reveal that if Ramona Singer is able to bring drama to this upcoming season of the Real Housewives of New York City, that it’s likely she will get paid more than she has in the seasons before. While her daily shoot rate might not guaranteed her a certain amount of money; if she’s used a lot during filming she still has the chance to bring in a lot of money.
Unfortunately for LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer the other ladies that producers have decided to bring back were given season contracts that include a guaranteed lump sum at the end of filming. The ladies that were offered this contract were Bethenny Frankel, Carole Radziwill and former new comer Dorinda Medley.
Sources close to shooting reveal that Ramona Singer got scared while she was holding out with Sonja Morgan and LuAnn de Lesseps and accepted a shitty offer just so that she could return for another season of RHONY. This source claims that, “Ramona Singer is more desperate for the fame than she is for the money.”
The source continued to reveal that Bravo won’t be budging when it comes to Sonja Morgan and LuAnn de Lesseps because they are under the impression that all housewives that leave the show end up losing their fame and relevance. (While this may be true on most former housewives, there are some exceptions here!) Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
