Real Housewives of Atlanta Recap Season 8 Episode 13

During last night’s episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta the ladies went on a trip to Jamaica in order to help Cynthia Bailey film her new commercial. While the ladies enjoyed sometime exploring Jamaica and drinking, drama ended up erupted between them. Drama surrounding the filming of Cynthia’s commercial overshadowed the ladies trip and NeNe Leakes surprised shocked the housewives with her return. Kim Fields and Kenya Moore dished it out with shade, and where NeNe Leakes and Sheree Whitfield finally able to reconcile?

Let’s take a look at the top moments from last night’s episode!

Kim Fields Walks Out on Kenya Moore

During last night’s episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta Kenya Moore and Kim Fields argued over who would direct and produce Cynthia Bailey’s  new commercial. Cynthia Bailey ended up picking Kim Fields over Kenya Moore for the directing/staring role, and Kenya ended up feeling left out. When the ladies got together for dinner Kenya Moore started to throw some shade towards her new found enemy Kim Fields.

“How many commercials have you done,” a pissed off Kenya Moore asks Kim. Fields just continues to smile, while Kenya continues to interrogate Kim’s prior commercial experience. Kenya is under the impression that Kim hasn’t done any previous work in the commercial industry, and asks Fields to put down her experience on the table.

In her confessional interview Kim Fields tells Kenya that she can google her and the IMDB will give all her credentials. It looks like Kim Fields is finally getting more comfortable throwing some shade back at the ladies.

Kenya Moore isn’t letting Kim get off the hook just yet though. Kenya brings up Kim’s age, and Kim lets Kenya know that people say that she looks much younger than she actually is. Moore is quick on her feet and lets Kim Fields know that those people are clearly lying! The ladies go back and forth tossing insults at each other, before Kim Fields finally walks up and leaves.

Are Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore BFF’s?

During a dinner between the housewives, the topic of Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore’s friendship becomes the topic of discussion. When it’s pointed out that Cynthia and Kenya have become besties, NeNe Leakes interrupts to point out that she doesn’t actually think the two ladies are best friends.

Sheree points out that she believes that the ladies are BFF’s, however NeNe continues to explain that the ladies are not best friends at all. Porsha Williams puts in her two cents and tell’s NeNe Leakes that Kenya and Cynthia are totally BFF’s. NeNe tells Porsha that the ladies aren’t like that, while Phaedra Parks disagrees with NeNe and sides with Porsha.

NeNe Leakes, clearly trying to stir the pot, asks Cynthia Bailey if she is BFF’s with Kenya Moore. Bailey explains that Kenya and her are still trying to get to know each other, which leads to dirty looks from Porsha, Kenya and Phaedra. Cynthia continues that their friendship is growing, however you don’t just wake up and become best friends over night!

Kenya Moore explains in her confessional interview that this is just another example of Cynthia Bailey being a “flip-flopper.” Kenya compares this situation to Cynthia being with a side dude (Kenya) and now that her main dude has returned (NeNe) she all of a sudden doesn’t know the side dude anymore!

Cynthia Bailey explains that to her friendships are friendships, her commercial however is a business venture! Cynthia Bailey explains in her confessional that she saw a side of Kenya Moore today that she just does not like. NeNe Leakes claims that she feels like Kenya was a solid replacement but Kenya just isn’t her.

NeNe Leakes and Sheree Whitfield

The final top moment of last night’s episode included seeing NeNe Leakes and Sheree Whitfield’s reunion last night. Both of these ladies where featured during the first season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, however had a falling out before Sheree left the show. In her confessional interview Sheree reveals that when her and NeNe are good, they are great. However when they are bad…. well you get the drift.

When the two ladies finally sit down for a one on one together NeNe Leakes reminds Sheree that the last time she had seen her was at the reunion a few years back. We of course get a recap of NeNe Leakes and Sheree Whitfield going back and forth with each other about how nasty the other one looks. Sheree then went on and on about how happy she is to be able to reconciled with NeNe.

NeNe Leakes Behind-The-Scenes of Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10

The cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are currently filming season ten and we know they won’t disappoint us when it comes to the drama.

NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak-Biermann are back and they are not on good terms with Kenya Moore. As we have previously reported, Kenya’s co-stars are questioning the authenticity of her marriage to her new husband, Marc Daly.

What else is happening in Atlanta? Phaedra Parks reportedly filmed another scene with her ex-bestie Porsha Williams after the explosive reunion last year and is pushing to get her job back, much to Kandi Burruss’ dismay.

Cynthia Bailey is happy with her new boyfriend, while Kandi is juggling being a mom and running a restaurant.

We are excited for the new season and NeNe Leakes is sharing a behind-the-scenes look for viewers. She shared the following photo and video on Instagram, captioning, “Behind the scene #RHOA.”

Kandi Burruss’ Restaurant Hit With Health Code Violations

RHOA star Kandi Burruss is having major problems regarding her new restaurant. The Old Lady Gang Southern Eatery is reportedly in trouble with the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The restaurant owned by Kandi and her husband Todd Tucker earned a very low “C” rating. The establishment, which opened in March of 2017, earned a 78 out of 100 score during its August 2017 inspection.

The restaurant honors Kandi’s Aunt Nora, Aunt Bertha, and Mama Joyce and they are already being hit with numerous health code violations just six months after their grand opening.

The August 24th Food Service Establishment Inspection Report reveals, the restaurant was in violation of:

2-2D: Adequate hand washing facilities supplied & accessible (no soap or paper towels located at hand washing sink)
4-2B: Food-contact surfaces: cleaned & sanitized (observed soil buildup inside ice bin)
6-1A: Proper cold holding temperatures (observed potentially hazardous cold food held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit)
12B: Personal cleanliness (observed employee with no hair restraint)
12C: Wiping cloths: properly used and stored (wet wiping cloth not stored in sanitizing solution between uses)
15A: Food and nonfood-contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed, and used (observed cutting board grooved / pitted and no longer cleanable)
17C: Physical facilities installed, maintained, and clean (observed entrance to WIC on need repairing threshold)

The second and third floor bars of the restaurant were also cited separately for their own violations the same day. The reports show the second-floor bar was in violation of:

2-1C: No bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods or approved alternate method properly followed (observed employee at the bar area using bare hand contact to grab sliced lemons out of container for drink. Except when washing fruits and vegetables food employees shall not contact exposed, ready to eat food with their bare hands and shall use utensils such as deli tissue, spatulas, tongs, single-use gloves or dispensing equipment. COS. Lemon discarded, employee used tongs.)
14A: In-use utensils: properly stored (observed in use bar utensil stored in standing water with a temperature of 70F. Utensils can be stored in standing water if the temperature if 135F or higher or if water is sufficient in velocity [such as dripping ice cream dispenser]. COS. Utensil removed.)

The third-level bar was only cited with one violation:

15A: Food and nonfood-contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed, and used (observed cardboard on shelves in RIC at bar).

Both the violations for the second and third floor bars were corrected on site, Jasmine Brand reports.

The same inspector returned on August 29 for a follow up. While the inspection was not as bad, there were still violation issues. The restaurant was cited as being in violation of:

6-1A: Proper cold holding temperatures (observed failure to cold hold TCS foods at 41*F and below. Observed crab cakes at 50*F, Eggs 52*F, Egg Batter 51*F, Lamb 45*F, Hamburger 47*F. COS- Eggs and egg based product discarded. Items under 50*F were chilled down to 41*F via ice bath.)
6-1B: Proper hot holding temperatures (observed failure to hot hold TCS foods at 135*F and above. Observed Mac and cheese at 125*F, Mac & cheese 130*F COS- All items reheated to 165*F.)

Both violations were corrected while the inspector was on site.

The OLG is back in good standing according to its August 29 inspection. The restaurants score went up 13 points to a 91, and the grade up from a “C” to an “A.”
