Goldie Hawn hasn’t been on the big screen since her 2002 box office success ‘The Banger Sister.’ After over a decade of laying low; Goldie Hawn returns to theaters with Amy Schumer in the new comedy ‘Snatched.’
In ‘Snatched,’ Hawn plays Schumer’s mother, and the two end up going on vacation together after Amy’s boyfriend leaves her hanging in the dry. The comedic duo’s trip takes a turn for the worse when they are both kidnapped during their vacation.
While ‘Snatched‘ is more overtly comedic than a lot of Jonathan Levine’s past films like the Night Before and 50/50; it still manages to move the audience with its strong mother/daughter bond theme.
Below is the official synopse for Snatched:
After her boyfriend dumps her on the eve of their exotic vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton (Amy Schumer) persuades her ultra-cautious mother, Linda (Goldie Hawn) to travel with her to paradise. Polar opposites, Emily and Linda realize that working through their differences as mother and daughter – in unpredictable, hilarious fashion – is the only way to escape the wildly outrageous jungle adventure they have fallen into.
Snatched hits theaters May 12th, 2017. Check out the trailer for Snatched below and let us know your thoughts in the comment section at the end of the page.
