The Countess Recounts Her Epic Falls and Reveals Her Greatest Lover; Plus Calls Adam Kenworthy “Boring” and “a User” – The Real Housewives
In an incredible interview with Aliza Rosen for the podcast Reality of Reality, Countess Luann De Lesseps, who lounged on a hotel bed wearing Chanel pearls and a red dress, was cool and not at all uncool.
She talked about making her falls a part of the dance (the basis for a new single she’ll be working on in collaboration with Jake Shears of The Scissor Sisters) and reflected on past mistakes with candor. She spoke about the demise of her relationship with Tom D’Agostino and about getting her drinking in check after the Palm Beach arrest. She said her RHONY cast members were incredibly supportive during that difficult time. You can tell from the discussion where her allegiances lie today when she’s slightly shady about Carole Radziwill, still harping on how her costar got together with Adam Kenworthy while he was still involved with her niece.
“He’s a user,” said the Countess, explaining that he went from sleeping on her niece’s couch to Carole’s. When the host replied that she doesn’t find anything too exciting about him, Luann agreed: “He is boring.”
She also said that Sonja doesn’t have a mean bone in her body and she feels that Dorinda was way too harsh on her in that “widow versus divorce” argument that just took place on the show this season.
She then revealed that during her marriage, she found out Tom was chasing down an ex-girlfriend one night, how she saw him in bed with her the next day, but her daughter filled her in about his car’s absence that morning. She ended up getting the painful low down on the previous night’s events from Page Six. By the time of the reunion, she had made her decision to divorce Tom, but “since the season was all about Tom,” she waited until afterwards to make the announcement.
As for her dating life now, Lu said she hasn’t kissed anyone in a long time. Rosen mentioned Luann’s ex Jacques, asking why they broke up, to which Lu responded that a difference in location preferences contributed to an overall drifting apart. They remain, great friends, today and the Countess admits that Jacques was her greatest lover.
We won’t spoil the entire interview for you, but do suggest you tune in! Luann is in rare form spilling a lot of hot tea. Link to the Reality of Reality by Aliza Rosen podcast: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/countess-luann-de-lesseps/id1103840521?i=1000411536602&mt=2
