Creed 2 Trailer Arrives and Packs a Massive Punch

Creed 2 Trailer Arrives and Packs a Massive Punch

Sylvester Stallone took to social media a few days back to announce that the first trailer for Creed 2 was coming this week, and he was not kidding when he said that it was going to be a knockout. Clocking in at nearly 2 minutes, the trailer for the highly anticipated sequel hits all of the high notes and teases the ghosts of the father issues that screenwriter Cheo Hadari Coker revealed last week while looking more emotionally intense than the first film, which is really saying something. It looks like the cast and crew of Creed 2 have really worked some magic.

Production wrapped for Creed 2 back at the beginning of the month after starting in the middle of March. Tessa Thompson and director Steven Caple Jr. posted pictures and video from the wrap party, which led to speculation that a trailer would be coming soon. However, not many believed that the first trailer for Creed 2 would arrive this quickly, though it seems that the production moved very smoothly in the 3 months that it was happening. Additionally, there’s no need for heavy digital effects, which makes matters a lot easier.

Creed 2 production started with a few leaked photos and videos of Dolph Lundgren, who is back to reprise his role of Ivan Drago and Florian Munteanu, who plays his son, Victor, on the steps of the iconic Rocky landmark Philadelphia Museum of Art. The duo were seen training and it wasn’t long before Sylvester Stallone was spotted on set as well. There have also been rumors that Brigitte Nielsen will be back for a cameo, though that has not been confirmed at this point. She was spotted at a Philadelphia airport back in April, and it has been reported that she was near the set of Creed 2.

Michael B. Jordan is back and bigger than ever following the smash hit Black Panther, which saw him pitted up against Chadwick Boseman. Jordan’s performance was emotionally intense and he was able to keep the physique from the first Creed movie in the Ryan Coogler-directed film, which means that he’s super ripped in Creed 2 as shown in the new trailer. While we now have the trailer and some of the story has been revealed, there is still a lot about the sequel that we don’t know, which is awesome, considering all of the leaks from the set that were available.

Sylvester Stallone did an excellent job of keeping his fans updated with Creed 2 and he will more than likely be doing the same thing when production on Rambo 5 starts up as well. Stallone is a busy man and he shows no signs of slowing down, despite the many death hoaxes that have been reported over the last several years. Stallone is alive and well, kicking more as than people half his age. Creed 2 hits theaters on November 21st, but you can check out the very first trailer below, courtesy of MGM.

Secret Life of Pets 2 Trailer Takes Max to the Dreaded Vet

Illumination has released the first trailer for The Secret Life of Pets 2. The sequel was originally supposed to hit theaters this year, but was pushed back to 2019 after the studio did some shuffling to their release dates. In addition, Louis C.K., who voiced Max in the first installment, is not involved in the sequel. Illumination fired the comedian late last year after he admitted to misconduct accusations. Fellow comedian Patton Oswalt stepped up to replace C.K. to voice Max.

The latest trailer for The Secret Life of Pets 2 sees Max and the gang take a visit to the vet. Things seem to be okay until all of the pets start to think about why they’re all there, which leads to some uncomfortable, yet funny moments. Patton Oswalt was a great choice to take over for Louis C.K. and he appears with Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Jenny Slate, Albert Brooks, and Hannibal Buress, who are all reprising their roles from the first movie.

The Secret Life of Pets was a massive success in 2016. The movie grossed $875 million worldwide and became the sixth highest grossing movie of the year. Illumination founder Chris Meledandri pitched the idea about what pets do when their caretakers are away, which Brian Lynch, Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio took and wrote the story for the movie. The first installment took influence from the old Warner Bros. cartoons by keeping everything vertically oriented and never showing the faces of the adults. The movie was a hit amongst kids and adults, who appreciated the style and some of the jokes that were a little more on the grownup side of the fence.

The latest trailer for The Secret Life of Pets 2 is going to be shown before Illumination’s The Grinch, which hits theaters this Friday, November 9th. This trailer is specifically for Max, and the studio reveals that there will be more character trailers released along the way, leading up to the sequel’s release on June 7th, 2019. The additional character posters is a great way to promote the movie. In addition to the returning voice cast, Tiffany Haddish, Harrison Ford, Nick Kroll, and Pete Holmes are lending their voices for the sequel.

Harrison Ford’s involvement in The Secret Life of Pets 2 is pretty significant. The Star Wars and Indiana Jones star has never voiced an animated character, so this is a pretty big deal for Illumination. With that being said, his character is currently unknown at the moment. The Secret Life of Pets 2 is preparing to launch a pretty massive promotional campaign, so it seems likely that they will use Ford’s name to pump the sequel when the time is right. You can check out the trailer for the sequel below, thanks to the Secret Life of Pets Twitter account.

Vanessa Hudgens Pulls the Old Switcheroo in Netflix’s Princess Switch Trailer

Who doesn’t love a good switcheroo movie? Netflix obviously does, as they have just announced The Princess Switch as one of their big holiday releases. It stars Vanessa Hudgens and Vanessa Hudgens in a tale that is as old as rice, and still just as delicious.

There are two types of switcheroo movies that have become quite popular over the last couple of decades. The first is where two people swap bodies, as popularized in Freaky Friday and the dozen of copy cat comedies that arrived in its wake, including Like Father, Like Son and the much more recent The Change-Up. The second kind of switcheroo movie is where two dopplegangers discover each other, and wonder if the other’s life might be better. So they swap places. The later is what we have here.

Vanessa Hudgens, who you loved as Candy in Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers, returns as a delightfully pampered duchess. She is also playing a dirt poor commoner, and the two decide to pull the old switcheroo, believing the other must live so much better. Oh, but boy do they have some surprises in store. You know how this will all play out. Netflix isn’t streaming too far off the reservation or trying to change the formula that is so beloved too much. This isn’t New Coke or Clear Pepsi.

Starring alongside Vanessa Hudgens in this sweet and savory romantic comedy is Sam Palladio and Nick Sagar as the two love interests who get to swap their girlfriends. The movie comes from director Mike Rohl, who is working from a script by Megan Metzger and Robin Bernheim. This Christmas comedy is produced by Brad Krevoy and Amy Krell. Netflix offers this as the official synopsis.

One week before Christmas, Margaret, the gorgeous Duchess of Montenaro, switches places with Stacy, a “commoner” from Chicago, who looks exactly like her. With the assistance of a magical Santa’s helper, Margaret falls in love with Stacy’s handsome co-worker, while Stacy falls in love with Margaret’s fiance, the dashing Prince.

The Princess Switch will launch globally on Netflix starting November 16. It isn’t the only fun holiday movie Netflix is pulling out of the chimney this year. They also have The Christmas Chronicles coming exactly one week later, which stars Kurt Russell as jolly old Saint Nick. It might be the most inspired Santa Claus casting ever seen. The holiday fantasy finds two kids trying to help Santa save Christmas after they almost derail the whole holiday.

Kurt Russell’s Santa movie arrives on Thanksgiving Day, when The Prince Switch will already be queued up and ready to stream. Netflix is really going out of their way to bring the good gifts this yuletide season. You can get your first look at The Princess Switch in the trailer and poster below, which arrive direct from Netflix Streaming Youtube channel. It’s very much going to be a merry Christmas.

Andy Serkis’ Dark Jungle Book Gets A New Netflix Release Date

The latest trailer for Andy Serkis’ Mowgli is here. Additionally, Netflix has announced that it will hit select theaters on November 29th, with an expanded theatrical release on December 7th. The movie will also hit the streaming platform on the 7th. It was announced back in July that Netflix had scored the rights to the live-action adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic novel, The Jungle Book. Mowgli was meant to hit theaters a lot earlier, but Warner Bros. decided to take their time crafting Serkis’ dark take on the source material after Disney’s live-action version of the movie debuted in 2016.

Andy Serkis has truly reinvented The Jungle Book story for Mowgli, in which a boy torn between two worlds accepts his destiny and becomes a legend. Mowgli (Rohan Chand) has never truly belonged in either the wilds of the jungle or the civilized world of man. With that being said, the first trailer made it look like he was being torn from his animal family. Now, it looks like he was excited to go meet up with other humans who look just like him.

While Mowgli is initially happy with his decision, he later finds out that there is something wrong with the humans, which is when he has to make a choice between the humans and his animal family. We all know how the story goes, but Mowgli certainly looks like it has some twists and turns that deviate from the source material and bring it into the 2018 landscape. While some may of thought that heading to Netflix was a sign of something being wrong, it’s quite the opposite and a huge score for Netflix, especially considering the all-star voice cast involved in the project.

In terms of voice cast, Mowgli truly rivals Disney’s live-action take on The Jungle Book. The cast includes Rohan Chand as Mowgli, Andy Serkis as Baloo, Christian Bale as Bagheera, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan. Kaa, the snake is played by Cate Blanchett, the leader of the wolf pack, Peter Mullan is Akela, the scavenging hyena, Tabaqui is Tom Hollander, Nisha, the female wolf is played by Naomie Harris, who adopts the baby Mowgli as one of her cubs, and Mowgli‘s Brother Wolf is played by Jack Reynor.

After years of hearing about Andy Serkis’ Mowgli, it’s almost time to see his version of the story, which looks nothing like what Disney cooked up. The motion capture work looks awesome, which is what one would expect with Serkis on board. While Serkis plays Baloo, it’s not just his character that looks and sounds awesome. Warner Bros.’ decision to take some extra time crafting the dark take on Rudyard Kipling’s classic book seems to have paid off. Now, it will be interesting to see how audiences react to this new interpretation on such a beloved book and animated Disney classic. You can watch the latest trailer for Mowgli below, thanks to the Netflix streaming YouTube account.
