Danielle Staub Hires A Divorce Attorney & Files A Restraining Order Against Husband Marty Caffrey – The Real Housewives
Turns out Danielle Staub isn’t getting her happily ever after.
Page Six reports that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star is preparing to end her short-lived marriage to Marty Caffrey.
“Danielle has received a letter advising her to retain counsel, which she has,” her rep told Page Six. “The two attorneys spoke and both sides agreed to keep this matter private. It’s disappointing to her that only 48 hours later that understanding is apparently no longer being honored.”
However, the drama doesn’t end there.
Danielle has filed a temporary restraining order against Marty after an incident took place at her home on Sunday night.
According to the order, obtained by Page Six, Danielle arrived home and found that Marty had tampered with their garage door to prevent it from opening. When the other two garage doors did open Danielle “found her husband standing in her garage. He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, agitated and confrontational.”
To avoid their interaction from turning into a fight Danielle went upstairs to the master bedroom. But “after hearing a disturbing noise in another area of the residence she walked downstairs and found [Caffrey]. Then she realized that several of her family portraits of her children and other sentimental framed photographs had been taken down causing her to be upset.”
The drama further escalated when Marty called the police as Danielle searched the home for her missing photos. However, when the police did arrive it was Danielle who obtained the order as she “believes that [Caffrey] is attempting to tarnish her reputation and career by making repeated false reports to the media.”
Marty was given 20 minutes by the police to collect his belongings from the home giving Danielle “exclusive possession of the home.”
Furthermore, Marty must avoid contact with Danielle and her two daughters, Christine and Jillian Staub and is “barred from NBC Studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza and Monmouth University in New Jersey.”
The restraining order remains in effect until the RHONJ couple goes to court on August 20th.
Yikes. Sounds like one big mess. I hope Bravo is catching some of this drama on camera.
