Japanese Rampage Trailer Unleashes Unstoppable Kaiju Carnage

Japanese Rampage Trailer Unleashes Unstoppable Kaiju Carnage

A new Japanese trailer for Rampage has arrived online. We’re just a couple of months away from Rampage arriving in theaters, which sees Dwayne Johnson not only having a crack at a giant monster movie for the first time in his career, but also tackling another video game adaptation, after having done Doom early on. This time around, we could actually be in for a good video game movie, as evidenced by all of the Kaiju action in this international spot.

This new Japanese Rampage trailer doesn’t offer a ton of new footage, but it does condense most of the monster action from pervious trailers down into one, jam-packed minute or so that shows just how fun this could possibly be. The best part is Dwayne Johnson, who introduces the trailer to his fans in Japan, speaking some seemingly well-rehearsed Japanese prior to the actual footage kicking in. It’s charming, but also shows just how dedicated The Rock is to his career and to his legion of followers all over the world. There’s a reason people show up to see his movies.

Rampage is a movie that, at this point, you’re either sold on or you’re not. Seeing the footage presented in this way isn’t likely to change your mind about it. Especially if you’re someone that’s looking for a little more depth beyond a giant monster movie. This explicitly paints Rampage as an all out, city-destroying blockbuster, with The Rock saying some quippy lines here and there. That’s either something you’re on board for or not. This feels like a movie that could really benefit from some positive buzz once screenings start to happen. Similar to what happened with Jumanji.

The 80s arcade game of the same name inspires the Rampage movie, but as anyone who has played the game can tell you, there isn’t much story to it. That means the creative team was able to craft whatever story they wanted around the idea of three giant monsters destroying cities across the world. Dwayne Johnson reteams with director Brad Peyton for a third time on Rampage, having previously worked with him on Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and San Andreas. The cast for the movie also includes Joe Manganiello, Malin Akerman, Jack Lacy, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Marley Shelton.

Warner Bros. is releasing Rampage in theaters on April 20, which is a somewhat crowded release date. Super Troopers 2 and the Overboard remake are both coming out that day as well, but luckily, they’re both going for a pretty different audience. At least Paramount decided to release The Cloverfield Paradox on Netflix. Otherwise, it would have been coming out on this date as well. Be sure to check out the new international trailer for Rampage, courtesy of the Comicbook.com YouTube channel, for yourself below.

Ant-Man and the Wasp Trailer Has Arrived

Ant-Man and the Wasp Trailer Has Arrived

Marvel Studios has dropped the first official trailer for their upcoming sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp. The debut was announced on the Black Panther red carpet last night, and as promised, it was delivered in a bite sized package of delicious weirdness. Yes, Scott Lang gets a partner. And that’s going to cause some problems.

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Ant-Man and The Wasp, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a super hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.

Ant-Man and The Wasp brings back an ensemble cast that includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña and Academy Award winner Michael Douglas, who all return from the 2015 box office hit Ant-Man. Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Abby Ryder Fortson, Tip “T.I.” Harris and David Dastmalchian are also back for more action and fun. New additions to the cast include Academy Award nominees Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne, as well as with Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins and Randall Park.

Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp is once again directed by Peyton Reed. Kevin Feige produces alongside Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard, Charles Newirth and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. The sequel is the third marvel movie opening this year after Black Panther, in theaters this February, and Infinty War this May. Ant-Man 2 will be in theaters on July 6, 2018.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will be a little different from previous Marvel movies. And as you can see by the trailer, it’s being described as a romantic comedy. Star Evangeline Lilly had this to say about the movie last year, describing how it helps open the playing field for future Marvel adventures.

“Those characters are experts in the quantum realm. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, they are trying everything in their power to safely enter the quantum realm and return back from it because they have evidence from the first film that Scott Lang was able to do that. If he can do it, why can’t we? If we do succeed in Ant-Man and the Wasp, then that does open a whole entire new multi-verse to enter into and play around in. I’m not the story creator, so I can’t tell you what they’re going to do with that. But I definitely see the potential there.”

You can check out the first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp courtesy of Marvel. It looks like it’s going to be a really fun time.

New Dundee Trailer Brings in Margot Robbie, Ruby Rose & Russell Crowe

New Dundee Trailer Brings in Margot Robbie, Ruby Rose & Russell Crowe

Dundee might be the biggest and most expensive Super Bowl commercial in history. A new trailer reveals that Danny McBride, Chris Hemsworth, and Hugh Jackman are not alone in this crazy project. Margot Robbie, Isla Fisher, Ruby Rose, Liam Hemsworth, and Russell Crowe are now involved in this crazy promotional stunt for Tourism Australia. It’s a shame that this is a commercial because it looks like it could make for a pretty entertaining movie with this all-star cast assembled. Everybody is here, so where is Paul Hogan? He’s actually been spotted, but not in the trailer; more on that in a moment.

Danny McBride’s Brian character is seen playing the didgeridoo like a guitar and we learn that his mother’s side of the family were jazz musicians while Margot Robbie is seen chanting “free beer” in a bar after throwing a man into some chairs for dissing Mick Dundee. There’s baby kangaroos with Isla Fisher, some walkie talkies with Ruby Rose, and something evil going down with Russell Crowe who is the villain of this insane Super Bowl 2018 commercial. Some serious work went into this and it looks like it’s still going on.

Not much goes under the radar, but the Dundee project got a whole lot of A-list actors together in secret, which is pretty crazy to think about. IMDB says that the budget for the project is $30 million and it is starting to look like that all went into casting and filming this behemoth. Additionally, it costs $5 million per 30-second spot to air during the Super Bowl, and this certainly looks like it will have to be a lot longer than 30 seconds.

While we haven’t seen any footage of Paul Hogan as Crocodile Dundee yet, Margot Robbie did post a picture of herself and the iconic actor on the set. It isn’t clear when the picture was taken, but Robbie suggests that it was a while back because she tagged the picture as a throwback. It seems that it’s only a matter of time before we see Brian Dundee finally find is father in the Australian Outback. It will be very interesting to see how Paul Hogan and Danny McBride work together, since it’s definitely not something that anybody has ever thought of.

The Dundee Super Bowl 2018 commercial is shaping up to be something pretty crazy and may even be a short film that gets released on the day of the big game. So far, we’ve seen about 5 minutes of footage, which leads us to believe that there is plenty more. While we wait to figure out the full scope of this epic commercial for Tourism Australia, check out Margot Robbie’s Instagram picture of herself and Paul Hogan and watch the new trailer for Dundee featuring Robbie, Russell Crowe, Isla Fisher, Ruby Rose, Hugh Jackman, Liam Hemsworth, Chris Hemsworth, and Danny McBride below, courtesy of the Dundee Movie YouTube channel.
