Mike Huckabee thought he had the chops to take on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Spoiler: He didn’t.
Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor, Republican presidential primary also-ran, and father of Sarah thought he could come for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The wannabe funnyman took a quote about the potentially transformational elections this year and twisted it to suggest that Ocasio-Cortez was all ego, seeing herself as the center of everything. But really, what Huckabee did was tee himself up to be obliterated:
A Green New Deal will take a level of ambition + innovation on the scale of the moon landing. We’ve been done it before, and can do it again.
Leave the false statements to Sarah Huckabee. She’s much better at it.
Also, you haven’t been a Governor of any state for 10+ years now. https://t.co/R7q5CkMw8Y

Policy first, with an optimistic push for ambition and greatness. And then not one but two slams on Huckabee’s rhetoric and relevance. This is why she’s so far under the collective Republican skin. The attacks that have so often worked on Democrats not only do not phase her, but she comes back harder and stronger.
