Shield Reunion Storyline Teased on RAW, Match Currently Planned For TLC

Pro Wrestling Sheet Senior News Producer James McKenna first broke the news this weekend on Twitter of a Shield reunion being in the works and that was clearly telegraphed last night.

For those who missed it, The Miz made multiple references to the popular stable during an interview segment at the top of the show. He also beat down Roman Reigns after their match with the Miztourage, then mocked him with a Shield-like fist bump.

It’s unclear at this point who they’ll be facing, but we’re told The Miztourage being their opponents is NOT set in stone at this point.

FUN FACT: Their first match as a team was against Ryback and Team Hell No at TLC 2012.

Kurt Angle will return to action and replace Roman Reigns at WWE TLC; AJ Styles to battle “The Demon” Finn Bálor

Due to medical issues impacting two WWE Superstars scheduled to appear at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs, streaming live on WWE Network this Sunday, the special event will now feature Kurt Angle competing in a WWE ring for the first time in more than 11 years, as he replaces Roman Reigns. In addition, former WWE Champion AJ Styles will replace Bray Wyatt and face “The Demon” Finn Bálor.

A WWE Hall of Famer and the current General Manager of Raw, Angle will join forces with Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose to battle the daunting combination of Braun Strowman, Intercontinental Champion The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus and The Big Red Machine Kane in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs 5-on-3 Handicap Match.

The showdown between “The Demon” and Styles is one that the WWE Universe has been wanting for a long time and promises to be one of the most exciting matches of 2017.

Check back with WWE.com as more information becomes available. Don’t miss a moment of WWE TLC, streaming live on WWE Network, this Sunday at 8 ET/5 PT.

NFL’s Malcolm Jenkins: Kaepernick Invited to Owners’ Meeting, Didn’t Show (UPDATE)

1:08 PM PT — Kaepernick’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, says his client was NOT officially invited to the meeting by team or league officials, but is “open to future participation on these important discussions.”

Colin Kaepernick was invited to NFL headquarters to talk about social issues with team owners … but decided not to show up to the meeting, Malcolm Jenkins told the media on Tuesday.

Several players sat down with owners in Manhattan today to discuss ways to promote positive change … and both sides agreed it was a step in the right direction, but there’s more work to do.

“Those conversations will continue. That dialogue will continue,” Jenkins said.

“As players, we’ll continue to do the work in our communities. We feel like that’s the most American thing to do is to use your platform to influence with the stage that we have.”

As for the national anthem demonstrations … Jenkins says it wasn’t the focus of the meeting.

I’M GETTIN’ THE W, SON!!

FYI, Greg’s first pro fight is on Nov. 4 at Rise of a Warrior 21 … and we got the man who’s gonna meet him in the cage — Joe “The Legend” Hawkins — to give us the low-down on their scrap.

Joe’s got nothing but respect for Hardy … but told TMZ Sports he ain’t gonna take it easy on him.

“I’m gonna be incredible,” Hawkins said. “I see the referee raising my hand.”

Joe’s also inviting Dana White to grab a ringside seat … ’cause his goal is to make it to the UFC one day.

First, he’s gotta beat Hardy … who’s also been training his ass off in camp.
