Vicki Gunvalson Reveals ‘The Only Thing’ She’d Ever Say to Ex-Boyfriend Brooks Ayers – The Real Housewives
In a new interview with Too Fab Vicki Gunvalson reveals that Brooks Ayers‘ “cancer scam BS” still haunts her “daily.”
The OG of the OC says that despite moving on and being in a happy relationship she still bears the scars of her 5-year relationship with Brooks.
“That is something that I’ve had to recover from,” Vicki confessed. “I feel like the truth always prevails. I can’t change what the network did and what Bravo did and what the evolution of my production company wanted to film because I kept saying, ‘Stop talking about it.’ The girls were talking about it — ‘Stop talking about it.’ I couldn’t get the train to stop rolling.”
So, is Vicki still in contact with Brooks at all?
That would be a big fat NO.
“Oh, God, no! No. Other than ‘When are you gonna be paying me back?’ That would be the only thing I would ever say to him. After that, he basically skated out. He was not a good partner, and I thought he was, so that was my bad,” Vicki explained.
Despite her long-running tenure on RHOC Vicki claims she has no control over production.
“If I would’ve had any creative visions or dreams, I would have not filmed three of those seasons,” Vicki said.
In fact, Vicki claims Brooks’ cancer storyline “almost killed” her.
“That was super hard on me. Super, super hard on me,” she revealed. “I mean, I went into a major depression. Major, major. It was horrible because it felt like I was in quicksand and didn’t know how to get out of it.”
Vicki admits she never felt comfortable with the storyline and openly discussed it with Andy Cohen and the RHOC showrunner. The OG of the OC says she “flew out to New York several times” to discuss the storyline being dropped but was told, “We’re following the reality of what the girls are feeling.”
With Brooks in her past, Vicki says she’s loving life with her boyfriend of 2 years Steve Lodge, who just moved into her Coto de Caza home.
“My life is very exciting going forward,” she said. “If Steve and I decide to get married, we’ve got that whole new journey of blending our families. I don’t know what God has in store for me; I just know that my story isn’t over yet.”
I still feel like Vicki is blaming others for Brooks’ lies and scam but whatever.
