Laminate floors are easy to clean and care for. All you need is a mop—ideally, one with a microfiber head. That way, you won’t have to worry about scratching the surface.

For the best results, use a laminate floor cleaner. Spray it onto the floor in front of you and gently wipe it with the mop. Don’t add too much, though—you don’t want to oversaturate the floor.

How often should you clean laminate flooring? At least once a week. However, you might want to do it more often if you have pets.

Tip: Vacuum the floor before mopping (remember to turn the beater bar off). That’ll get rid of any dirt and grit that can otherwise scratch the floor.
